PASTOR MICHAEL W. DYSON
Pastor Dyson was born in the seaside community of Havre-De-Grace, Maryland, the youngest of eight children. His formative years were spent in Dayton, Ohio. His parents came into the knowledge of the Seventh-day Adventist faith in the 1950’s. A graduate of Hampton University in Virginia and a Andrews University seminarian, He comes to Sharon from his last assignment as the district pastor of the Hillside Seventh-day Adventist Church and Church School located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Truth Tabernacle, Seventh-day Adventist Church in York, Pennsylvania. He is delighted to have had a part in initiating a Spanish Church plant in Harrisburg and prays for their rapid growing and continued success.
He is married for nearly 30 years to his college sweetheart, the former Helena G. Ely of Mobile, Alabama. They have two adult sons, Michael and Patrick.
“Helena and I are tremendously blessed and have grown together in pastoral ministry. We both look forward in anticipation of this next chapter in the journey with each of you. All this serves as an introduction, but the most important thing in my life is to be used by God in whatever capacity that He desires.”
